Friday - Saturday, October 18-19,
2002—"Healing For Your Heart" conference at
HeartLove Place In Milwaukee,
Wisconsin
|
Dallas, Linda, and the
Discipleship Unlimited team have been asked to partner with
HeartLove Place to provide a
"Healing For
Your Heart" weekend outreach to the community of HeartLove
Place in Milwaukee's central city. Through this conference, DU
will reach out to the neighborhood of HeartLove Place and
surrounding communities. The main speaker will be Marshall
Brandon. Marshall will be sharing the message of
reconciliation, which he says is a more a spiritual issue than a
racial one. Marshall is a pastor at Hudson Community Chapel,
where he is the pastor of evangelism and discipleship.
(See our "HeartLove Place"
section on this web site for more information on HeartLove
Place and to
register
for the conference.)
The weekend will begin with
a fish fry on Friday night. On Saturday, a light lunch will be
served. The afternoon will consist of breakout sessions, praise and
worship, celebration time, teaching, prayer, and fellowship.
There will be a banquet dinner on Saturday evening, and Marshall and
his wife will be sharing a message.
HeartLove Place's mission is to assist
Milwaukee's central-city families by teaching, encouraging, and
mentoring individuals to accept personal responsibility, achieve
quality work ethics, and develop quality character through the
influence and knowledge of Jesus Christ. The vision of
HeartLove Place is to assist children and help families shape and
improve the quality of their lives. Successful families are
essential components of a quality community; families will succeed
when parents raise their children by giving them love and guidance
based on God-given principles. Through partnering with
Discipleship Unlimited, HeartLove Place hopes to reach the community
through an encounter with Jesus Christ.
Linda is working with the team to arrange
speakers, music/praise and worship, liturgical dance, food,
registration, expenses, and volunteers for the conference weekend.
The HeartLove Place building is a beautiful new facility with a
wonderful kitchen, banquet hall, stage, and meeting rooms.
The aftercare and programs for those who attend
the conference and need assistance is a critical area for an event
of this size. People and opportunities must be put in place to
cover the needs that come out of this conference.

Three years ago, on February
3, 1998, Karla Faye Tucker was truly set
free and joined the Lord in eternity. Please pray, as we remember Karla,
that God will continue to use her life as an example to the world—one
woman, chosen by God, to bring hope to so many other lost and hurting
people through salvation in Jesus Christ. May God the Father be
glorified, in the name of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
We remember Karla with respect for the changed life she had and that she
acknowledged Jesus as the Lord of her life. Pray that the message
of the book
Karla Faye Tucker: Set Free
reaches the world and many will hear and bow down before their
God.
Linda will be sharing with the women of this
church and community. Pat Jones, wonderful friend of Dallas and Linda,
lives in Atlanta and has been instrumental in helping this event come to
be.

Linda will be interviewed during a 20-minute
television segment of “Jersey Talks.” She is traveling to New
Jersey to do this interview, where she will share the message of
Karla Faye Tucker: Set Free
and the ministry of Discipleship Unlimited.
 | Donna Dixon
. . . will be traveling the week of January 15, 2001,
to
Gatesville, Texas, to plan for the ministry team for the February
Ministry Opportunity. She will be meeting with Carole Ross, the
volunteer chaplain, and they will coordinate the activities for the
team. There will be volunteers coming from all across the United
States to be a part of the team. Please pray for the situation in
Texas concerning the escaped inmates. This could have and influence on
where we can go, who we can minister to, and how things are handled.
In the past, there has been freedom, trust, respect, and cooperation.
Many new prisons are opening up to the team in Gatesville.

Friday - Saturday, October 18-19, 2002—"Healing
For Your Heart" conference at HeartLove Place In
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
|
Dallas, Linda, and the
Discipleship Unlimited team have been asked to partner with
HeartLove Place to provide a
"Healing For
Your Heart" weekend outreach to the community of HeartLove
Place in Milwaukee's central city. Through this conference, DU
will reach out to the neighborhood of HeartLove Place and
surrounding communities. The main speaker will be Marshall
Brandon. Marshall will be sharing the message of
reconciliation, which he says is a more a spiritual issue than a
racial one. Marshall is a pastor at Hudson Community Chapel,
where he is the pastor of evangelism and discipleship.
(See our "HeartLove Place" section
on this web site for more information on HeartLove Place and to
register
for the conference.)
