This will be a second follow-up gathering after the October 18 - 19 "Healing For Your Heart" conference at HeartLove Place.

Dallas, Linda, and the team will be conducting Sunday services during the morning.

The DU team will be ministering at an AIDS unit.

Volunteers from Wisconsin and Texas will be trained by the Texas Department of Correction. This is a significant process that must happen to allow Discipleship Unlimited to continue to minister in the state of Texas.

Dallas and the DU team will minister to the inmates and their wives

Linda and a team of 20 Discipleship Unlimited volunteers will minister to the inmates.  DU is used to being able to take as many volunteers as it wants.  However, there is a new warden, so there are new rules; for now, the maximum number of volunteers here is 20.

Carole Ross, volunteer chaplain at Gatesville, has made arrangements for Dallas to perform a baptismal service for many of the inmates who have expressed a desire to be baptized.

Dallas, Linda, and the DU team will be conducting a marriage seminar for the inmates and their husbands at the Mountain View Unit.  This is a very special time for the inmates and spouses to grow in their walk with the Lord and their marriage.

Linda will be going to the Woodman Unit in Gatesville, Texas, with Volunteer Chaplain Carole Ross and a team of volunteers from Texas.  They will be going cell to cell, conducting an evening service, and whatever else Jesus calls them to do while behind the fences.

Dallas, Linda, and the ministry team will be reaching out to the neighbors of this new central-city educational facility.  A free Christmas ham will be given to those who attend this gathering.  There will be music, special soloists, liturgical dance, plus a clay project for the children along with activities to occupy them during the adult program.

Men and women are invited to attend a Bible Study at Dallas and Linda's home.  Rhea Briscoe will be teaching an exciting, practical study on "The Tabernacle."  Dallas will lead men in developing their teaching gift.

We are preparing a team of couples to facilitate and minister in day-long or weekend seminars.  Marriage seminar topics include "The Blessing," "Crisis of Incarceration," "Anger," "Communication in Marriage," and others.  Several of our new couples have survived incarceration; they will be a great asset as they know firsthand the obstacles couples "doing time" encounter.

Linda Strom will be sharing at the Women's Fall Breakfast; her message will be "Forgiven and Restored."  The men's ministry group, "The Journeymen," will serve breakfast to the women.  For information, call the church office at 1-262-567-5001.

All are welcome to come and be blessed.  Jim May will be here to minister, and Halal will lead the praise and worship time. The church is at 2500 West Brown Deer Road in Milwaukee.

The team will meet with inmates and spouses.  The day consists of large-group teachings, small-group discussions, question-and-answer time, music, sharing, and prayer time.  The team is able to reach out to the inmates as they serve their time and to the spouses on the outside as they deal with life with an incarcerated loved one.

This is a joint ministry effort by many organizations and churches to reach out to inmates in the state of Wisconsin.  Linda will speak on Friday evening at the opening event.  It will be a celebration, a recognition of volunteers, and a commissioning banquet.  Many of the Discipleship Unlimited volunteers are participating in this week-long ministry event.  There will be teams throughout the week entering prisons.

A team will be going all day Saturday to minister to the inmates and wives.

Dallas will be sharing at two morning worship services at the church.

This is an open meeting, and Linda has been invited to share.

Sessions and groups will be held with inmates and spouses; 16 couples have signed up to attend.

The team will present the marriage seminar for the inmates and their spouses.  The team for the day is Walt and Donna Dixon, Mike and Daria Hermann, Bill and Pat Kaaikiola, and Edith Miller.

A group will minister to the inmates and their spouses.  The ministry team will be Dallas and Linda Strom, Bill and Pat Kaaikiola, Carl and Elaine Soerens, Sam and Joanne Ventura, Elizabeth Flores, David Joles, and Klaus and Julie Kuehn.

Dallas, Linda, and the team will be visiting many prisons and having outreach experiences with the people of Texas.

This seminar is for the inmates and their spouses.  For the first time, Terry and Jean Strom will be sharing the story of their spiritual journey with Jesus.  Dallas Strom, Edith Miller, and Walt and Donna Dixon will also be ministering.

Linda Strom, Mary Stocking, and Patsy Casey will be sharing with the group.

Thirty volunteers will arrive from all over Wisconsin to minister to 125 inmates.  The inmates had to sign up weeks in advance.

Donna Sampson of Operation Starting Line (OSL) in Fort Worth, Texas, will be training volunteers for the Chuck Colson vision of bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ into every prison in every state within the next five years.  Discipleship Unlimited will be a part of this outreach in July 2001.  The OSL staff will be in Wisconsin in July to present a two-hour program in each prison.

Linda will be available to sign Karla Faye Tucker: Set Free books and greet the public.

Three hundred women are scheduled to attend this conference.  Linda Strom will be speaking on “Healing For Your Heart,” and Donna Dixon will be doing two breakout sessions on “Forgiveness.”

Please pray for Dallas Strom, Edith Miller, and Bill and Pat Kaaikiola as they go to minister to the inmates and their spouses.  It is always a blessed time as husbands and wives come together to learn how to love each other more and communicate with each other in a meaningful and genuine manner.

Dallas Strom, Edith Miller, Walt and Donna Dixon, and Terry and Jean Strom will be ministering to inmates and their wives. Please pray that this is a special, loving and meaningful time for all.  It is all about relationships and communication for the inmates and their families.

The ministry team will begin to arrive in Gatesville on Wednesday, February 21, 2001.  Volunteers will be flying into Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Airport Thursday and Friday, and return flights will be Sunday and Monday.

Almost 100 volunteers from all over the United States will gather to go behind the walls to minister to the inmates.  Praise the Lord—the seven Texas inmates who escaped from the Connally prison unit in December were found!  We need an anointing and protection now, as there will be special regulations and rules as a result of this happening.  It will greatly influence many of the ins and outs of the ministry team and how the “total” weekend will go.

Three years ago, on February 3, 1998, Karla Faye Tucker was truly set free and joined the Lord in eternity. Please pray, as we remember Karla, that God will continue to use her life as an example to the world—one woman, chosen by God, to bring hope to so many other lost and hurting people through salvation in Jesus Christ.  May God the Father be glorified, in the name of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. We remember Karla with respect for the changed life she had and that she acknowledged Jesus as the Lord of her life.  Pray that the message of the book Karla Faye Tucker: Set Free reaches the world and many will hear and bow down before their God.

Linda will be sharing with the women of this church and community. Pat Jones, wonderful friend of Dallas and Linda, lives in Atlanta and has been instrumental in helping this event come to be.

Linda will share the message of “Beauty For Ashes.” This is a special topic near and dear to Linda’s heart.

Linda will be at a book signing event at Barnes and Noble in Freehold, New Jersey. This store has been very prompt and open to handling the Karla Faye Tucker: Set Free books.

Linda will be interviewed during a 20-minute television segment of “Jersey Talks.” She is traveling to New Jersey to do this interview, where she will share the message of Karla Faye Tucker: Set Free and the ministry of Discipleship Unlimited.
