I've lived and worked in Collin County since 1987, and I've
watched the North Texas area businesses, cities, and schools grow and change. My
own children are in
Allen ISD (a fantastic district), and my husband serves
on the
City of Allen Parks and Recreation board in addition to his work as a
Senior Information Specialist at
EDS in
Plano—where he's worked since 1986
during the Ross Perot days. We're both involved in our community, and
I know it inside and out.What's more, I love this area and want to see its
businesses, organizations, schools, and people do well. I've always
been a wholehearted team player and delight in "teaming up" with my
community members to give them the communication and business support they
need.
Did I become a North Texan in 1987? No. I'm a
native—born in Collin County and raised first there, then in Denton County,
and finally in Paris, Texas. After college, I began my career in the
Fort Worth area—as nice a place as you'd ever want to be. I've had my
eye on, and my heart in, the North Texas area all my life (including my
college years in Austin).
